Course Description
Prerequisite: Open to graduate students and qualified undergraduates (those who have completed a minimum of 96 undergraduate credits with an overall GPA of at least 3.2). Qualified undergraduates must contact the Office of Graduate Studies for the required permission form. This course will explore the movement known as Pragmatism. Often called the one unique contribution of the United States to the world of philosophy, pragmatism, or perhaps better, philosophers designated as pragmatists have addressed many issues that are central to American Studies.
