Course Description

Prerequisite: Open to graduate students and qualified undergraduates (those who have completed a minimum of 96 undergraduate credits with an overall GPA of at least 3.2). Qualified undergraduates must contact the Office of Graduate Studies for the required permission form. This course examines key themes, concepts, and debates in American political thought through a close analysis of primary texts, emphasizing how intellectual arguments in America have shaped, and been shaped by, the political culture of which they are a part.
