Course Description

Prerequisite: Not open to those with credit for GAH 1255 or ARTV 1169. Open only to Visual Arts studio majors including: the BFA in Illustration, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, or Visual Communications; the B.A. in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts (VIBA); and the B.A. in Visual Arts K-12 Certification (EDVA). A beginning three-dimensional design course formulated for the student who wants a "hands-on" experience, involving the actual fabrication of projects dealing with three-dimensional structures: structural and material principles, architectural design, costume design, furniture design, and many other aspects of design dealing with our spatial world. Innovative and creative explorations of spaces and structures will be strongly encouraged.
