Course Description

Prerequisite: Open only to ARTV Studio Majors including: Illustration, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Visual Communications, Interdisciplinary (VIBA), and Teacher Certification (EDVA). Not open to students with credit for ARTV 1173. Students investigate form, color, and meaning in two-and-three-dimensional studio art media. Emphasis is on an understanding of color theory and process through lectures, demonstrations, projects, assigned readings, and experimentation. Examples from the professional practices of art and design are the basis for all studio projects.
