Course Description
Not open to those with credit for ARTV 2220. This course examines the role of packaging in liquid, air and solid content, packaging material, and process of designing and printing production. The unique challenges of adapting typography, illustration, various materials, patterns, and a historical overview will be discussed and applied to the course assignments. The course also covers sustainability, structural integrity, and display aesthetics, as well as basic labeling regulations outlined by U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
