ARCHAEOLOGY OF THE MEDITERRANEAN WORLD
Course Description
Cross-listed ANTH 3338. This course will consider archaeological methods, practices, and sites in and around the Mediterranean Basin. We will study a diverse array of civilizations from the Bronze Age to the Byzantines. The collecting, excavating and recording habits of early scholars are examined as well as the scientific methods of our own time to gain fresh insight into the civilizations and micro-histories of the region.
