Course Description
Formerly titled Archaeology in the Shadow of Rome. We examine the art and architecture of the Late Roman Empire and its reflection of rapidly changing attitudes toward culture, civilization, and the visual world at the 'end' of antiquity. Emphasis is given to the collision of paganism with the new Christian religion.
