RENAISSANCE & BAROQUE ART & ARCHITECTURE
Course Description
Prerequisite: ARTV 2176 recommended but not required. This course surveys the artworks, material culture and architectural monuments of the Renaissance and Baroque periods (14th through 17th centuries), primarily in Europe. Part of the class will be devoted to women of the Renaissance. Students should expect to visit the Philadelphia Museum of Art as part of an analysis project.
