CHEMISTRY III: ORGANIC REACTIONS
Course Description
Organic reaction mechanisms: polar and free radical substitutions, additions, and rearrangements; hydrocarbon functionalities; organic synthesis; and chemical and spectroscopic identification of organic compounds. Laboratory work is included as part of this course offering. The laboratory involves multistep organic synthesis, reaction mechanisms and spectroscopy techniques.
