Course Description
The course focuses on applying fundamental principles and theories of organic structure and reactivity to analyze and solve problems within a variety of sub-disciplines based on the instructor's expertise, such as: polymers, organometallics, asymmetric synthesis, medicinal chemistry, natural products synthesis, organic materials design, supramolecular chemistry, and photochemistry. Topics will selectively include concepts from molecular orbital theory, synthetic methods, pericyclic reactions, stereospecific and stereoselective reactions, reactive intermediates, reaction mechanisms and the corresponding tools for studying them.
