Course Description

This course introduces students to the role of the school counselor in public school systems. This course emphasizes planning, delivering, and evaluating counseling services with the goal of promoting academic, personal/social, and career development of all students. The course gives attention to the differentiation of services between the School Counselor, the Child Study Team, as well as the different legal documents students present in school, inclusive of 504 Plans and IEPs.
