Course Description

This course provides a solid understanding of the core evidence-based counseling practices at the root of humanistic counseling, and the ability to apply these skills effectively and appropriately in a variety of situations and with a variety of people. Through active engagement in fieldwork at a practicum site and in-class supervision, consultation, and evaluation, students will develop a deeper awareness and ability to manage their own strengths and vulnerabilities as they begin to develop a personal model of counseling.
