Course Description
This course was designed 1) to help the student explore and evaluate the principal research discoveries that have changed the criminal justice system; 2) to provide an opportunity to the student to take on a real criminal justice issue by applying knowledge accumulated in prerequisite courses; and 3) to further develop the student's ability in research, critical thinking, quantitative reasoning, computer application, and oral presentation. This stimulating capstone course may appeal to those willing to make a difference in the field as well as enhance career opportunities; the required research project may be accepted by the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences for presentation.
