A seminar examining the administration of justice from a comparative perspective. Among topics covered: crime and culture, styles of justice, discretion, and institutions. Deals with libertarian, authoritarian and totalitarian states, including the United States, Western Europe, the People's Republic of China, and selected developing nations.
