ADVANCED TOPICS IN FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY

Course Description

Prerequisite: Baccalaureate degree from accredited institution. CRIM 5208 or equivalent (grade of B or higher). FPSY elective.This course will explore specific topics in forensic psychology at an advanced graduate level and will include discussion of the most recent research on the topic. Students must already have a general understanding of the field of forensic psychology before taking this class. The specific topics for the course will vary, and may include: criminal motivation; stalking; violence; homicide; mental health in corrections; wrongful convictions; confessions/interrogations; juries. Students may take the class more than once as topics vary.
