Course Description
Fundamentals governing the movement of water and transport of chemicals in the subsurface will be developed. Topics include: surficial and confined aquifers, base flow in streams, field instrumentation and experimentation, well contributing areas, unsaturated zone flow, seawater intrusion, sustainable yields, critical areas, and natural and engineered contamination remediation. The hydrogeology and groundwater quality issues of New Jersey will be the focus of applications. Cross-listed with ENSC 5205.
