Course Description

Prerequisite: Permission of Instructor Required. Open only to Theatre, Dance, and Music majors and minors. Formerly titled Beginning Dance Technique. Course provides basic training in modern dance technique. Emphasis is on development of fundamental movement skills: flexibility, strength, coordination, and endurance. Exposure to various movement styles will help increase students' appreciation of modern dance as an art form. May be repeated five times for credit.
