Course Description

Not open to Dance, Theatre, and Music majors and minors. Permission of Instructor required. Not open to those with credit for ARTP 2000. DANC 2202, DANC/ARTP 2100, and DANC 2900 with a minimum grade of C. DANC 2900 may be taken concurrently if the student has not taken it in a prior semester. The study of choreographic theory and the practice of compositional methods. The format of the class will include movement exploration through improvisation and problem solving through movement studies. Presentation of student choreographed movement studies will allow for critical response, discussion and further development.
