Course Description

Prerequisite: Previous dance training and Permission of Instructor Required. Open only to Dance, Theatre, and Music majors and minors. Formerly titled Tap Dance Technique. Course provides elementary training in tap dance technique and repertory. Emphasis is on development of musicality, strength, coordination, endurance, and the refinement of tap dance skills to the intermediate level. The clarity of movement initiation, body articulation, and alignment will be stressed. May be repeated three times for credit.
