Course Description
Not open to those with credit for ARTP 2287. (Cross-listed as THTR 2287). This course will cover the basic theory and techniques of theatrical costume design. Emphasis will be placed on script and character analysis and period research, as they relate to the design and rendering of theatrical costumes, period research, and the use of costume in theatre and dance productions. Lecture discussions will be reinforced by hands-on experience and practice in the techniques of flat patterning, rendering and portfolio presentation.
