Course Description

Prerequisite: DANC 2100 with a grade of C or better and Permission of Instructor. Not open to Theatre, Music, and Dance majors and minors. Course continues training from Modern Dance I, further expanding the concepts of modern dance technique, focusing on clarity of movement initiation, body articulation, usage of weight, breath and musical phrasing, isolations, and drive through space. Course work includes placing technique in historical and contemporary context. May be repeated three times for credit.
