Course Description

Prerequisite: DANC 2501 with a grade of C or better and Permission of Instructor. Open only to Theatre, Music, and Dance majors and minors. Formerly titled Intermediate/Advanced Dance. A continuation from Modern Dance II, this course focuses on the fulfillment of movement potential in modern dance technique, looking at this fulfillment spatially, qualitatively, and melodically. Course work emphasizes finding an ease in movement to help develop personal artistic voice. Course work includes placing technique in historical and contemporary context. May be repeated seven times for credit.
