Course Description

Prerequisite: DANC 2415 with a grade of C or better and Permission of Instructor. Open only to Theatre, Music, and Dance majors and minors. Formerly titled Intermediate/Advanced Ballet. A continuation from Ballet II, this course builds further awareness of alignment, strength, flexibility, vocabulary, and articulation while emphasizing integration of whole body movements. Further development includes clarity of line, jumps, musical phrasing, and artistry. Course work includes placing technique in historical and contemporary context. May be repeated seven times for credit.
