Course Description

An introduction to the workflow of exploratory data analysis. Emphasizes evaluating the quality and integrity of a dataset by identifying missing values, inconsistent formatting, and outliers; cleaning the dataset; summarizing the dataset by calculating descriptive statistics; identifying patterns and trends in the dataset through visual representations of the data; and documenting the process of exploring the dataset to create a reproducible workflow. Interested students in programs other than DSSA should contact the instructor for permission to register.
