An exploration of advanced macroeconomic theory and its historical evolution. In addition to surveying the major macroeconomic traditions (Classical, Keynesian, Monetarism, New Classical, New Keynesian) and their methodological orientations and policy implications, the course covers growth and Marxian crisis theory.
