GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEMS FOR GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Course Description
Examines the theoretical and mathematical concepts underlying the use of GPS. The course involves pre-mission planning, field collection of geographic data and post processing of the data to increase accuracy. Database management and integration of the data into a Geographic Information System, with production of the final map is also covered. Offered Fall Term.
