Course Description
An exploration of live theatrical performance, ranging from folk entertainment to formal drama, by looking, comparatively, at performance traditions and practices of world cultures. The course employs several analytic methodologies to construct an understanding of theater's cultural and artistic functions as a fundamental human activity.
