THE SECOND WORLD WAR
Course Description
The wars of the twentieth century included two of the most devastating conflicts the world has ever seen. This course will analyze the Second World War from a number of perspectives including geographical, military, and political. The primary focus however will be on how it affected the lives of those involved. Students will read several histories as well as selections from other books that focus on personal experience and the psychological effects of war. Students will write a paper that looks at how the war affected the survivors and will also be responsible for reviewing films that reflect how our view of that war has changed over time.
