Course Description

Students will explore the sociological, ethical, theatrical, and historical elements involved in filed reporting. Students will learn how entertainment plays a role in communication, how social standards on what is acceptable changes, and how history and technology has influenced modern reporting. Students will examine ethical concerns surrounding professionally produced reports. Through the use of cell phones students will create a digital portfolio of field reports.
