Course Description
Not open to students with credit for GAH 1040. This seminar will focus on sports in different parts of the world. Among other topics, we will consider Apartheid in South African sports, class, communalism and nationalism in soccer world-wide, Indian and West Indian cricket, the segregation and integration of American sports, and sport as a source of mobility.
