ANARCHIST ART: PHILOSOPHIES, PROTESTS, POETICS
Course Description
In this course, students will analyze the relationship(s) between anarchist philosophies and anarchist art. The course will cover the history of anarchism as a variety of philosophical perspectives, and students will examine anarchism's unique relationship to artistic expression. Course texts will include anarchist essays, manifestos, graffiti, zines, comics, films, poems, and songs. Students will create traditional as well as non-traditional text of their own.
