Course Description
Certain lies about visual art strongly guide our understanding of the art world. Behind those lies are a web of social forces. This course will focus on class, gender, race, colonialism, and ecology as they relate to art. We also focus on the vocabulary of art and sociological concepts. This course may be offered in sections with a W2 designation.
