TOPICS AND TRENDS OF GLOBAL LEARNING

This course prepares a cohort of students to complete a service-learning project at the annual NAFSA international education conference. Students engage with readings and discussions on current trends in global learning and strategies for effective intercultural communication. At the conference, students participate in pre-selected sessions on global learning, promote Stockton through social media, assist at the Stockton booth in the Expo Hall, and compile contact information from attendees. Students also gain unique opportunities to interact with participants representing diverse professional, geographic, and cultural perspectives. Following the conference, students share their experiences through Stockton-sponsored events.
