Course Description
This is an introductory course in the language of medicine, an international language, whose terminology is based largely upon the Greek language with a smaller number of words derived from Latin. The course provides the rudiments of the Greek (and to a lesser extent of the Latin) vocabulary which forms the basis of modern medical terminology. The course also examines the terminology applied to the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive and other systems of the human body and concludes with gynecological terminology and the terminology of urology.
