Course Description
This is a research-to-practice course designed to help students gain research-based knowledge of how physical activity impacts mental health and ways mental health impacts physical health. Students will learn about total body fitness (balance, flexibility, agility, etc.) and the 5 basic human movements from kinesiology. They will learn how Five Element philosophy is used in Chinese traditional medicine practices and internal martial arts (e.g. Chi Gung and Tai Chi).
