Course Description

This course examines the concept of justice and virtue as well as additional concepts related to the area of moral philosophy. The course will rely heavily upon illustration of moral concepts in literary works as an introduction to a discussion and an examination of the theories and discourses related to justice, virtue, and other moral values. The course is designed enhance to the student's understanding of his own moral actions and to provide a comparative analysis of moral concepts. The course is relevant to anyone who ever asks the question, "What ought I to do?" or "Would this be right?"
