Course Description
Joseph, in the Biblical book of Genesis, lost his mother at birth, had several stepmothers, endured sibling rivalry and abuse, and was kidnapped and sold. Yet he went on to become second in command to Pharaoh in ancient Egypt. Using traditional sources, film, and literature, we will use his story to study enduring themes such as family conflict, childhood trauma, resiliency, faith, and forgiveness.
