CONTEMPORARY AFRICAN CULTURE AND BUSINESS/ STUDY TOUR

Course Description

This course will examine the current structure and dynamics of African business and the emerging cultural, historical, economic, and political dynamics in an emerging African country - Ghana. Specific topics examined will include economic policies, government regulations, the role of culture in African business, technological issues, and the role of entrepreneurship in emerging markets in Africa. The course will also examine the African history from colonial to post-colonial periods, political systems, and contemporary culture of African societies. In May, the group will travel 9-10 days to study in Ghana - with a base in Accra, the capital city.
