Course Description
Selman Waxman said as he was accepting his Nobel Prize "from the moment he is born to the moment he dies, man is subject to the activities of numerous microbes." Microbes affect everything from human nutrition to environmental cleanup. This course will explore man's relationship to the microbial world. Topics to be explored include human disease, environmental cleanup, food production, and biotechnology.
