Course Description
Prerequisite: High school algebra strongly recommended. The internet, friends on Facebook, and air transportation routes are all networks, seemingly different, yet surprisingly similar. These networks, and many others, share a common structure. This course will examine how such vastly different systems develop such similarities. Other subjects include how viruses spread, vulnerability of networks, as well as the rich get richer effect.
