Course Description

This course will examine the fundamental scientific principles behind the new field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. This course will cover fundamental nanoscience of chemistry and physics and practical applications of nanotechnology in society. The goal of this course is to learn not only the important future role of nanotechnology in our society, but also ethical and social issues caused by nanotechnology.
