Course Description

This course explores the social, emotional and physical restrictions of disability in the context of sports participation. Various programs, such as the Paralympics, Special Olympics and Disables Sports USA, are investigated. This course will challenge students to think beyond their own assumptions, discuss ethical dilemmas and build a new understanding of disabled sports opportunities.
