Course Description
Prerequisite: completion of W1 course with grade of C or better. This course examines the business of piracy from historic corsairs to modern terrorists. Why people resort to piracy, the economics behind piracy, and maritime trade and laws will be covered. Popular films romanticize pirates, but as we will see there really is nothing romantic about piracy.
