Course Description

This course will explore the process of death and dying from different perspectives; emotional, physical and spiritual. It will provide an overview of how hospice agencies work to treat people who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. We will look at the history of hospice and how it is viewed in today's society. We will explore the duties performed by each member of the hospice team, nurse, social worker, chaplain, home health aide and volunteer.
