ETHNIC VIOLENCE AND NATIONALISM
Course Description
This course presents an overview of factors and influences which lead to ethnic conflict, especially since the end of the Cold War. It defines and examines the concept of nationalism and its relationship to ethnic conflict and reviews the strategies and values which permit some cultural groups to live in harmony while others descend into violence and widespread destruction of human life.
