Course Description

Not open to those with credit for HIST 2413. This course looks at the concept of disability in the ancient world with attention to the impact of religious and philosophical ideologies as well as medical practices on the lives of the disabled. We will also investigate how these ancient ideas inform modern perceptions of disability.
