Course Description

This seminar investigates the different historical theories of nationalism and how they can be applied to various polities in the ancient world such as Rome, Greek city-states, Assyria, Babylon, and Egypt. Students will learn how to identify key elements of historical theory and adapt them to the interpretation of primary sources. Additionally, students will practice research techniques in finding primary sources.
