Course Description
The modern histories of Pakistan and Afghanistan are studied from 1750 to the present. Issues studied include the transition from empires to nation-states, post-colonial studies, the Cold War, the effects of globalization, and the social, economic, cultural, religious, and political dynamics of the last twenty years.
