Course Description

Using a quantitative approach, this course provides students with an overview of patient safety and quality control in the health care system. Students will gain knowledge for managing and performing several activities to ensure health care operations maintain a culture of quality and continuous improvements. It provides understanding of statistical process control, process capability, and Six Sigma as applied to healthcare; it allows students to evaluate healthcare processes for benchmarking and applying process improvement.
