CONTEMPORARY LATIN AMERICAN POETRY
Course Description
Permission of Instructor required. Readings and in-depth analysis of the poems of some of the major 20th century Latin American authors: Pablo Neruda and Gabriela Mistral (both Nobel Prize Winners); Vallejo, Paz, Aridjis, Rosario Castellanos, et al. Active class participation is expected. Includes written critical evaluation of specific poems.
